Special teams gets no respect until it wins or loses a game. The punter, the kicker, the returner, the long snapper, and the coverage units decide close contests every single Saturday. If you are a student of the game, a cheap houston football jersey that acknowledges the whole roster is the way to show it.

The skill players you see on offense and defense are the obvious picks. A Conner Weigman Houston Jersey is the fan favorite. A Keisean Henderson Houston Jersey or a Makhi Hughes Houston Jersey gives you the run game. But remember that the returner who fields the punt is often one of those backs you already rep.

The receiving group and defensive groups also contribute on special teams. A Amare Thomas Houston Jersey might be the guy running down on coverage. A Brandon Mack II Houston Jersey or a Re'Shaun Sanford II Houston Jersey could be the first guy down the field on a kickoff. The point is that every name on your jersey has a role beyond their primary position.

Special teams tips. Watch the first kickoff closely because that tells you everything about the energy of the day. Do not leave early because the last drive might include a fake punt or a trick play. And never boo the kicker because kicking is the loneliest job in sports.

The jersey you wear says you appreciate the whole team, not just the highlights. Pick your favorite player, but keep an eye on the guys who run downfield on every kick. They matter more than people think.

Every fan has their own why. Maybe you grew up going to games with your parents. Maybe you enrolled and fell in love with the campus energy. Maybe you just love the chaos of college Saturdays. Whatever your reason, the jersey you wear is the uniform of that story. It does not need to be the most expensive or the rarest. It just needs to be the one that feels like yours. That is the jersey you will reach for every single weekend.
