My 2017 Silverado's AC has been struggling big time with this summer heat and it's honestly becoming unbearable to drive during the day because the air coming out of the vents is barely cool even when I have it on max settings. I've already tried recharging the refrigerant myself thinking it might just be low, but that didn't make any difference so I'm guessing it's something more serious like a faulty compressor or maybe an expansion valve that's sticking. The thing is I've had bad experiences in the past with places that claim they can work on American trucks but then they end up ordering wrong parts or taking forever because they're not familiar with the GM platform. A buddy of mine who drives a Tahoe mentioned that there's expert Chevrolet repair and service in Musaffah that actually deals with these common Silverado issues on a daily basis, which sounds promising because I really need someone who knows exactly what to look for without wasting time on trial and error. I'm hoping it's not the compressor because I know those can be pricey, but at this point I just want to get it fixed properly before I melt in my own truck. Has anyone here had AC work done on their Chevy truck in that area and can recommend a place that does good work at a fair price?
