Responsibilities:
Be a key technical contributor in developing our 10GBASE-T Ethernet chip
Primary focus is to develop the control firmware in C
Qualifications:
Strong background in developing embedded C programs.
Expert in developing an industrial-grade firmware and very efficient in a collaborative environment.
Very familiar with C/C++ programming with very good knowledge of at least one scripting language – preferably Python.
Must have at least 3 years of experience in developing embedded programming for hardware control.
Experience in chip bring-up, code verification and debug in the lab, and familiarity with hardware implementation is highly desirable.
Experience in developing automation for firmware regression is a plus.
Track record of efficient software engineering minimizing use of data memory, code space and instruction cycles.
Ability to effectively use a revision control system (eg, Perforce).
Experience and/or coursework in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and digital communication theory: adaptive filtering, equalization, echo-cancellation, channel coding, timing recovery, etc.
Experience with parser and tool flow design for microcoded engines is a plus.
Background in high-speed wire-line communication systems, particularly Gigabit Ethernet, is also desirable.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required as is the ability to work well in a team.
