Amalgamations Repco Limited, Chennai, a company of the well known Amalgamations Group of Chennai is one of the major manufacturing facilities established in India through Indo - Australian co-operation. Incorporated in the year 1967, with technical and financial collaboration with Repco Limited, Melbourne, Australia, Amalgamations Repco Limited commenced commercial production in the year 1970 of clutch Assemblies and components to cater to the automotive vehicle industry besides the After-Sales-Market and Nationalised Transport Undertakings in India. The Company has, over the years, attained the status of a leading and reliable manufacturing facility for products viz. Clutch Driven Plate, Clutch Pressure Plate Assemblies (both Conventional Coil spring type and Diaphragm spring type), two wheeler Clutches, Carbon Release Bearings etc., for all leading models of Passenger Cars, Commercial Vehicles, Jeeps, Tractors produced in the country. The Company Quality Management System is certifiied to ISO 9001:2000 and environmently Management System is Certified to ISO 14001:2004 from Det Norske Veritas, Netherlands. The Company is licensed to produce 6, 98,000 Clutch Driven Plates, Clutch Cover Assemblies and Clutch Carbon Release Bearing Assemblies both at the plants at Chennai & Mysore. Strong emphasis is on to utilise existing potential to make for a strong presence in export markets. The products of Amrep are being exported to Middle East, South Africa, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Bangladesh, Croatia and United Kingdom.
