Responsibilities:
The position is a key technical contributor in developing our 10GBASE-T Ethernet chip.
The position's primary focus is to develop the DSP system modeling, analysis and simulation as well as control firmware in C.
The position requires a strong background in digital signal processing and communications applications.
The candidate must be skilled in developing an industrial-grade firmware and very efficient in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
Expert in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and digital communication theory: adaptive filtering, equalization, echo-cancellation, channel coding, timing recovery, etc.
Background in high-speed wire-line communication systems, particularly 10GBASE-T or Gigabit Ethernet, is highly desirable.
Candidate must be fluent in C and Matlab
Must be very fluent with Matlab or similar simulation/modeling tools.
Experience in chip bring-up, code verification and debug in the lab, and familiarity with hardware implementation is highly desirable.
Candidate must be very familiar with C programming
The knowledge of at least one scripting language is a plus.
Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in developing embedded programming for hardware control.
Ability to effectively use a revision control system (eg, Perforce)
Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required as is the ability to work well in a team.
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with relevant 5 years of industry experience or PhD with 2 years of experience in digital communication systems design and simulation.
