DATONG SEMCO RAILWAY TRAFFIC CO. LTD. is a Joint Venture between Semco India Pvt. Ltd, India and CNR Datong Electric Locomotive Co. Ltd, China, having world class facilities for manufacturing of Railway Wheel and Axle sets with annual capacity to manufacture 3000 fully assembled railway wheel and Axle sets of up to 1250 mm wheel diameter & higher axle loads. DSRC have the complete infrastructure in house for manufacturing & testing of Wheel & Axle Set and manufactures as per International standards & specification of UIC, AAR, IRS etc. Datong Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd (DELC) of CNR was originated from Datong Locomotive Works after its reorganization in 2003. DELC was established in 1954 and it was one of key 156 projects in "the First Five-year Plan". The company has an area of 2,337,500 sq. m., in which factory area is 1,455,300 sq. m. DELC is in possession of more than 3,000 equipments. DELC has passed the certification of Quality Control System of ISO9001, International Environment Standard of ISO 14001, Occupational Security and Health Management System of GB/T28001 and first level enterprise of National Security Quality Standardization, and it has been defined to be new and high-tech enterprise of Shanxi province in 2001. DELC owned its national enterprise R&D Centre with rich research and production capability, and it is the key technical introduction enterprise supported by MOR and the key electric locomotive production & research base in China. DELC is the only enterprise that manufactured all the three types of locomotives- steam locomotive, diesel locomotive and electric locomotive. In 1996, DELC and American ABC Railway Products (Now Griffin Wheel Co., of Amsted USA) jointly founded Datong ABC Casting Co., Ltd. for manufacturing of Cast Wheels. In November 2002, DELC and Germany Stemmann Company signed an agreement on technical transfer of DSA serial pantographs, and jointly founded Beijing CED High-tech Rail Electricity Co., Ltd. In December 2005, DELC and ABB (China) Co., Ltd jointly founded Datong ABB Traction Transformer Co., Ltd. In January 2007, DELC and SEMCO India Pvt Ltd, signed a joint venture contract, founding Datong SEMCO Railway Traffic Co., Ltd. In January 2007, DELC and SEMCO India Pvt Ltd, signed a joint venture contract, founding Datong SEMCO Railway Traffic Co., Ltd. Datong Semco Railway Traffic Co., develops, manufactures and supplies railway wheel sets and their parts - wheels, wheel centers, Axles for all types of railway vehicles. The main products of our company are locomotive wheel- set, wagons wheel set, coach wheel set, special wheel set and other railway traffic parts. We engage in the import and export trade for wheel-set and railway traffic parts, and relative technology consultation. The products are sold to Indian market and other International market. Our manufacture accord with the AAR (American Railway standard), IR (Indian railway Standard) and UIC (International Union of Railway Standard). Our company based on the current achievement will try to develop other market and research the new product. Our throughput will reach annual sales income RMB 800 millions in 2012.
